Prop base slides securely into the mounting boot which is permanently fixed to the pit floor. The boot has two 6mm steel strips attached to its underside enabling level fixing if the pit floor is uneven. When not in use the prop is secured in an upright position by the wall mounted bracket.

The electrical interlocking facility consists of a pre-fixed limit switch mounted to the rear of the wall mounted bracket. When the prop is removed from the bracket, the lift is rendered electrically inoperative until the prop is replaced to its original position.
